About BluStone

The BluStone School for the Performing Arts provides education through inclusion.  Our school provides access and a opportunity for students                who aspiring  to pursue a career in music, dance and theater.

We are a group of  diverse educational professionals and local community members creating access and opportunities for a diverse student population to cultivate a passion for creativity, expression and individual purpose through performing arts. We nurture self-expression through performing arts which enhances students’ collegiate and professional career aspirations along with their involvement in the community.

BluStone School for the performing arts is an non-profit organization that  was established by a group of diverse educators and professionals from our community with the sole desire to provide access, opportunity and availability to performing artists.  This group wanted to create opportunities in a manner that would promote learning, leadership, critical thinking and self-expression. Moreover, they determined that there was a need to provide our student-artists a social conscience of integrity, possession of leadership qualities and citizenship through the performing arts.

Our focus and major emphasis is to provide a foundation through educating our student-artists to become socially conscious, responsible leaders in the community. Furthermore, to become productive citizens with a sound grounded foundation in the performing arts. We achieve this through promoting creativity, self-expression and a strong sense of belonging. We also challenge our student artist in various areas of the performing arts.

Focusing on the diverse communities of the Maryland Eastern Shore and surrounding areas.   We strive to emphasize the value of performing arts skills, creative activity, artistic and scholarly exploration, and critical analysis through student engagement.
